Volunteer
Volunteering is at the heart of ReReeti’s work. We strongly believe that the best way for museums to thrive and survive is to make itself more human. And our incredible team of volunteers help us do just that, by breathing life into museums. They act as a bridge between museums and the people outside making them interactive, active and engaging. Our volunteers are an integral part of the ReReeti family and we welcome you to join us.
The durations of our volunteer programmes vary depending on the project.

The IME Volunteer Programme
ReReeti has been running the volunteer programme at the Indian Music Experience (IME), Bengaluru for over 2 years. This has been designed as a community outreach programme to connect with the people of the city and invite them into the museum as active members of the team. The volunteers primarily guide school groups, facilitate events and help with administrative tasks at the museum. It is open to people of all ages and backgrounds, to support the museum’s vision and mission and become community representatives as well.
Volunteer Experiences
Sriram Sujit My experience at Indian Music Experience has helped build both my creative and professional side. Being a student of Hindustani Bansuri and working as an Analyst for a Tech giant, the museum experience has been unique which helped me widen my musical horizon and parallelly help build my overall persona. The programme has given me an opportunity to scale my personal musical journey and been a transformative force for a well-rounded self-development. It is my hope that I was able to contribute back by creating engaging and meaningful conversations with the visitors of the museum.
Sreenidhi Bhoopathi As a school student, spending my free time volunteering at the Indian Music Experience has given me a new perspective of the real world. My knowledge of Indian music, as well as my interpersonal and linguistic skills, have improved greatly.
Madhavi Ramam "A day without music is a day wasted."
Music brings people together and helps us grow towards a more and peaceful inclusive world. The sense of calm and at the same time learning received at IME makes me feel humbled to be a part of such a beautiful place. From taking school children around the museum to answering visitors' queries, the volunteering experience at IME is second to none.
Sindhu Narayan Volunteering with IME started with a curiosity and turned into passion. This place is and will always be dear to me for it has offered an ocean of knowledge and a bundle of memories and an opportunity with network with diverse group of visitors. It is an absolute pleasure to narrate about our rich culture and heritage, multidimensional influences and adaptation across the globe. Every tour to me is a unique story that I can cherish and learn from. Many thanks to ReReeti, my volunteering buddies and IME for always being supportive and encouraging.
