His previous roles include Head of Education at the British Museum, chair of GEM (Group for Education in Museums), and editor of the Journal of Education in Museums. With consultancy experience in India (working with INTACH, Sanskriti, and the British Council) and internationally in China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Korea, John has contributed to key publications like New Museum Practice in Asia (Lund Humphries, 2018) and The Responsive Museum (Ashgate, 2006).
